If a disbursement has been issued but does not yet appear as posted to the payee’s account, or if the financial institution has advised that the payment has not been received, it is most likely still being processed by the payee at a central payment centre. Most financial institutions have an internal processing timeframe of 10–15 business days.
In most cases, payments are backdated to the date they are received; however, this remains at the discretion of the payee.
